Robert Nicholson, the firm’s managing partner, is a former state and federal prosecutor with extensive experience in health care compliance, white collar and regulatory enforcement matters.  He has over 20 years experience and is a frequent instructor and lecturer on federal and state enforcement matters relating to the health care industry, the False Claims Act and whilte collar criminal defense matters.  Mr. Nicholson concentrates his practice on representing licensed professionals and other health care providers in all phases of administrative, civil and criminal health care regulatory matters.  Before entering private practice, Mr. Nicholson served South Florida as an Assistant United States Attorney.  During his last 10 years with the United States Attorneys Office, he prosecuted health care fraud, False Claims Act, drug diversion and FDA regulatory cases.  Mr. Nicholson was twice selected to serve as the national Healthcare Fraud Coordinator and national Affirmative Civil Enforcement Coordinator at the Executive Office for United States Attorneys.

Mr. Nicholson is a regular speaker at conferences on healthcare fraud, False Claims Act, drug diversion and FDA enforcement matters, and he has published multiple articles and guides on these topics as well. Additionally, Mr. Nicholson is frequently quoted in healthcare industry professional and trade journals.

Mr. Nicholson is a High Honors graduate from The Florida State Univerisity College of Law, where he also served on the Law Review staff.  Mr. Nicholson is presently Co-Chair of the Enforcement Committee of the American Health Lawyers Association Fraud and Abuse Practice Group.  Mr. Nicholson also serves as a member of the Executive Council of the Health Law Section of the Florida Bar.  Mr. Nicholson has received an attorney rating of “Superb,” the highest rating possible from AVVO.

Parker Eastin has over sixteen years experience handling white collar criminal, health care, and complex civil litigation matters. He is a summa cum laude graduate of the University of Kentucky College of Law, where he graduated number four in his class. During law school, Mr. Eastin served as Managing Editor of the Kentucky Law Journal, where he oversaw the entire editorial staff.  Over the course of the last twelve years, Mr. Eastin has acquired significant experience practicing in the areas of health care regulatory law, white collar criminal defense, corporate internal investigations, civil fraud matters, False Claims Act whistleblower litigation, and complex civil litigation.

Prior to joining Nicholson & Eastin, LLP., Mr. Eastin worked in the Atlanta office of a highly-regarded international law firm as a member of its prestigious Special Matters and Government Investigations team.  During that time, Mr. Eastin gained significant experience in dealing with matters involving federal grand juries, internal investigations, Foreign Corrupt Practices Act, healthcare, and whistleblower issues.  Mr. Eastin was then recruited to join the Fort Lauderdale office of a large Florida law firm which specialized in health care regulatory matters and white collar criminal defense, where he worked with Mr. Nicholson.

Mr. Eastin is a member of both the Florida Bar and the Georgia Bar Association, and he participates in a number of state and national legal and health law organizations. He is also active in the community and supports St. Jude’s, Operation Smile, and the National MS Society, among others.
